Prehistoric Scyther Concept

Description

Told you I'd have something new for you guys.

Theory: Evolving from the Kabuto line, prehistoric Scyther and Scizor would still be somewhat dependent on the water, making their homes in marshes and swamps. Like their modern day equivalents, the prehistoric Scyther and Scizor would have been fierce predators. The small Scyther-ancestor would form small swarms to over power larger prey, before becoming solitary hunters as they evolved. These ancestors types are still being researched, but due to their evident reliance on water, it is quite possible they were either of the Water type or possessed the Water Absorb ability.

I'm still not entirely happy with these two. Up nest will be Drapion's ancestor. ^^

My personal theory is that Kabutops is in fact a prehistoric form of Scyther. They just look alike too much (specially for their scythes). And the shiny Kabutops coloration just improves my thoughts on the theory ! So yeah the true evolution line to me would be Kabutops»Scyther»Scizor. As for Kabuto well it would be the baby Pokémon of the line. Anyway great drawing :D !
